I tend to consider myself pretty politically apathetic. This can probably be contributed to my age--at age 20, I've only been able to vote for two years, and I'll be honest, there hasn't been much I've been interested in voting on in the past two years.
I get worked up over the same topics EVERYONE gets worked up over: gay marriage, abortion, and gun control. And I can get VERY worked up over those topics.
According to a typology test, I'm a Liberal. I'm not sure I'd voluntarily give myself that label since I just don't know enough about the issues to have an informed opinion on them.
It would be easy for me to say that I am taking this Government class because I have to--that's certainly true. But I'm also not exactly proud of being so politically apathetic/ignorant. It's pretty embarrassing to be in your living room with your friends while they discuss current events and you just sit on the couch quietly and focus on not saying anything stupid. So I am certainly not chagrined to be taking this class. I guess I'm one of those weird people who enjoys learning.
We’ve moved (again)
